Domesticated Animals

Outside of Nashville, January 25th.

I spent a a couple of nights with some friends that are “living the dream” they are the owners of Gabby’s Burgers & Fries, a flock of chickens, 3 dogs, 3 cats, varying numbers of fish, and parents of 2 sweet and enthusiastic children. As in past visits, I felt so welcomed. Even if I didn’t already know and love these people for who they are, I would adore them for what they do with grass fed beef, sweet potatoes, and how much they care about their employees and customers. Doug has been working to perfect his milkshake recipes, I can highly recommend the Strawberry. If you are ever in Nashville get yourself here.

I got no pics of their establishment this time (too busy savoring each bite) so here are some members of their brood.

One more thing, while wandering around the Nashville Flea Market, we discovered a man with a couple of mixers and a giant hunk of shea butter making some truly amazing cream called Ooh La La Souffle Food for the Skin. The best $5 I’ve spent in a very long time. He has no website as far as I can tell. There is a phone number though. You’re Welcome.
